Robot Saga

robot and dragon 130419Little Gracie likes to learn about lots of things

She likes to learn of plants and greens

But also buildings and Machines

Especially robots made of shiny metal rings

Gracie learns by reading books

She reads of kitchens and of cooks

She reads how apples grow on trees

But Gracie knows fruit is made in Factories

Gracie learns by going out on walks

Or meeting friends and having talks

She goes and sees what’s outside

Using her eyes helps her decided

Outside she meets a DRAGON on the prowl.

He seems mad enough to HISS.

He’s big and green, and makes a sound like this:

*ROAR ROAR ROAR GROWL*

Gracie looks and says, “Mr. Dragonman what’s wrong with you?”

He says, “ROAR! I AM SO HUNGRY I COULD ATTACK!!!”

Gracie says “When I need food I get cranky too.

Hurry, come, let’s go find you a snack.”

“What do you eat? What’s good for dragons as a treat?”

“I EAT ROBOTS, FRUITY SWEET…”

Robots, dragon? How do you eat all those oily metals?

“NO NO, ROBOTS CRUNCHY, SOFT LIKE FLOWER PETALS”

Just then a robot passed them by,

His skin all shiny and metallic

He tripped and fell, and didn’t die

But dragon gobbled him up quick

Fruity juices sweet like berries

Dripped all around and smelled like cherries

Gracie wondered at the thought

Since that wasn’t what she had been taught

She saw another robot passed,

(He fared better than the last)

She stopped to ask if he was fruit inside

He said his melon belly was his pride

He led her to a hill on a further route

To the branch where he did sprout

And showed her all his fruity robot clan

Back at the trunk where he began

Gracie learns by taking walks and reading books

And talking to friends and taking close looks

But she knows better than some of these –

She knows Robots grow on trees.
